1320 acres m/l. BARBER COUNTY KANSAS HUNTING RANCH LAND FOR SALE. Located ½ mile off the Medicine Lodge River in northwest Barber County Kansas just west of Sun City, Kansas.  Deer Unit 16 is known throughout the country by trophy Whitetail Hunters and has a long history of producing some of the largest Bucks in the Midwest.  Limited Hunting Pressure from neighboring tracts support an excellent opportunity to grow mature bucks.

The Ranch Land support a diverse population of wildlife habitat with a combination of rolling grassland, draws, canyons, cuts, thickets and timber with a mixture of Native Grasses, Buffalo Grass, Gramma Grasses, Bluestem and Bermuda with multiple Springs, Ponds and Tree-lined Creeks and the famous Medicine Lodge River less than  ½ mile away.  This is also a working cattle ranch with good fences, adequate water and easy access.

The quality of Kansas Deer Hunting is first-class not only in this area, but specifically on this property.  Hunting pressure has been limited over the past years and there’s a readily available population of mature Whitetails traveling the area.  The southern portion of this ranch is the rough and rugged upper-rimrock of the Gyp Hills Canyons with outcrops of rock and sand plum thickets known as the hideout bedding areas for the largest bucks.  The neighboring ranch to the south is a large parcel owned by a corporate gypsum company; we’re told they don’t allow any hunting. The central portion is a low-land brush and tree-covered staging area that comes alive during the rut.  The northern portion is bordered by an easy access county road and is a rolling grassland terrain that supports upland game and excellent cattle grazing.

This owner also has additional acres in the area that border the ranch across the road to the north.  We are offering an additional tract of approx. 1415 acres to the northeast of this land, or you can purchase the entire 6300 acre ranch with improvements.
